The winners of the fifth EU Health Prize for Journalists were announced by Health Commissioner, Mr Tonio Borg, at an award ceremony in Brussels yesterday evening. Out of more than 850 articles entered into the competition, 28 national finalists were chosen by juries in each EU country.

Amidst a crowd of children gathered in a classroom at the Birkirkara Primary School, Minister for Education and Employment Evarist Bartolo and four MEP candidates today launched the book “Taqtax għad-Dritt”, published by the European Parliament Information Office in Malta, and featuring simple stories and activities for children.

British Airways, one of the largest and most modern airlines in the world, with of fleet of more than 280 aircraft, flying to over 175 different cities in 75 countries, today recommences its scheduled flights from Malta to London Gatwick. British Airways will transport up to 145 passengers daily on its Boeing 737 and Airbus 319/320 aircraft.

MEP candidates today visited a number of institutes at the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology (MCAST). Meeting students and teachers, they exchanged views on employment matters, particularly the importance of matching the supply of skills with labour market demand.
